JULIA BODWELL is an author, entrepreneur, and musician living in Florida with her husband and their rescue cat. She’s obsessed with Halloween and summertime, and loves to curl up with a good book as often as possible.

Originally from Pennsylvania, Julia moved to Florida in 2006 to study at The University of Tampa, where she earned her Bachelor’s in English Literature and Creative Writing. She spent several years working in local journalism before transitioning to education. She began her teaching career at Plato Academy, and taught there for ten years before retiring to open her own bookstore, The Gilded Page. In 2020, she joined the local Tampa band, Growler, as their frontwoman. She has been a voracious reader and writer since a young age, penning various poetry, short stories, and news articles before finally committing to novel writing. She published her first book, One Wrong Summer, in April 2022.

When she isn’t working or performing, Julia likes to enjoy quiet time reading at the beach or paddle boarding the local waterways near her home. She also watches way too many horror movies, and is known to frequent local haunted houses and cemeteries.
